We are focused on using physics and engineering to quantify biological systems and symptoms, and by doing so, we hope to offer better pre-clinical drug testing. Our microfluidic device has already been used to discover that healthy kidney cells function like mechanical water pumps and that their diseased counterparts pump in an opposite manner.
